We had the the 4th Symposium on International Symposium on Brain and Cognitive Science (ISBCS) on April 30, 2017 at Hacettepe University, Ankara, Turkey. It has been great pleasure to meet Shimon Ullman, Suresh Manandhar, Levent Akin and Deniz Yüret in person.

The lab team has organised a symposium on Eye movement control modelling in Turkish reading (EyeTR 2017) on April 8, 2017 at METU, Ankara, Turkey. It has been a crowded event, full of researchers working on various aspects of eye tracking, including reading, neurological disorders, psychiatric disorders, dyslexia, and other interesting topics such as newspaper reading. It was nice to bring us together!

I had a talk on artificial intelligence at Hasan Ünal Nalbantoğlu Sempozyumu VI. on April 5, 2017 at METU, Ankara, Turkey. Students and researchers from sociology departments are more interested in AI than you may think..

We organised a round table on Eye Tracking in Reading Research at International Conference on Turkish Linguistics (ICTL 2016) on February 24, 2017 at Cukurova University, Adana, Turkey. It was a good experience to share our research on eye movement patterns in reading with the international linguistics community.

I had a talk on eye tracking at Cankaya University Cognitive Psychology Day on February 23, 2017 at Cankaya University, Ankara, Turkey. The title of the talk was “Eye tracking methods for understanding cognitive processes: Opportunities and Limitations”. Many students and researchers from psychology departments, interested in eye tracking, that’s cool..

I had a talk on artificial intelligence at ODTU DAS 5 on February 17, 2017 at METU, Ankara, Turkey. The title of the talk was “The Artificial Intelligence Method of Learning: No Magic but Mathematics”. That was a public talk, nice to see the crowd interested in AI.

The lab team gave a talk at at the colloquium on multiple eye tracker classrooms at Lund University, Sweden on October 27, 2016. The title of the talk was “Group Eye Tracking (GET) Paradigm for Social Cognition Research.” It is nice to see people working on group eye tracking, which will be a prolific research paradigm soon.

I gave a tutorial session on eye tracking methodology at the 14th National Conference on Neuroscience on May 25, 2017 at Ankara University, Ankara, Turkey. It was a nice experience to talk about eye tracking to the researchers from medicine departments.
